Public Relations (PR): Saving Land

Kirt is a proud member of the Rotary Club of Northville. When Rotary International added the environment as a new focus, he took action right away.

He talked with The Rotary Foundation to explain how land trusts help protect clean water, wildlife, farms, and natural areas. His ideas were added to Rotary’s guidelines for grant funding.

Now, land trusts can team up with local Rotary Clubs to get money for land protection.

Kirt also pitched a story about land conservancies to Rotary Magazine and it reached over one million readers!:
